Top Performers from All About The Girls Holiday Tournament

<p>This list highlights some of Maryland's most underrated players from the All About The Girls Holiday Tournament held at Indian Creek. True to its name, the tournament spanned five different sites and featured more than 30 high school programs, creating a strong platform for female athletes to showcase their talent across the Baltimore Beltway.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Broadneck Bruins, Annapolis MD</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Kileigh stood out as the day's top two-way player, consistently impacting the game on both ends while contributing in ways that do not always show up in the stat sheet. Her defensive presence was evident as she stayed active in passing lanes, deflected balls, dove on the floor for loose possessions, and initiated the break. Offensively, Kileigh showed a strong understanding of her role by moving well without the ball and positioning herself effectively to score within the flow of the game.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Maryvale Prep Lion, Brooklandville MD</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Clara stepped into an expanded role with two starters out for Maryvale and delivered a strong performance. Her leadership and commitment were evident from the opening possession, as she consistently played with energy and focus. Typically an off-ball guard, Clara shared point guard responsibilities and was effective getting to the rim with a quick jab step or by moving well without the ball. On the defensive end, she helped lead the Lions' late surge, playing a key role in closing out a hard-fought win.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Glen Burnie Gophers, Glen Burnie MD</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Shamaree's game is one to watch, as she can catch defenders off guard with her versatility. A strong wing, she can navigate past defenders with a few quick moves and finish at the basket. Her size and skill also make her an effective secondary point guard, creating matchup problems for opponents.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Hammond Golden Bears, Columbia MD</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Alexis is a senior who plays with relentless intensity. A true point-forward, she can defend and contribute anywhere on the court. Her ball-handling ability and determination to attack the basket make her the Bears' go-to option at the point, and she reads matchups well, knowing when to create for teammates or take it herself.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Gerstell Academy Falcon, Finksburg MD</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Three possessions in, it was clear to everyone in the gym outside Gerstell that Madison is a shooter. She caught fire in the second quarter, scoring 11 of Gerstell's 15 points, including nine from behind the arc. When defenders closed out more aggressively, she responded by putting the ball on the floor and finding the open teammate.</p>
