The vision she has is elite, and she is a true throwback PG with her pass-first mentality. GG had some flashy passes in transition and found cutters and shooters. It's one thing to have the vision to find open teammates, but it's another to have virtually every pass be right on target. GG is a special passer and as good a facilitator as any HS player in the country.

Freshman big Charlese Veney had an eye-popping performance for Varina. Charlese is strong and uses her size well to seal players in the post and get position on the glass. She is a good finisher with a nonstop motor, and she dominated Clover Hill on the boards. [player_tooltip player_id='1201291' first='Sanaa' last='Jenkins'] imposed her will in the paint, and James Monroe had no answer for her. She did a great job playing out the post and using her strength to bully defenders out of the way. She had a handful of great spins to her left that she was able to finish. James Monroe's best defense for her was fouling her because she had a rough day at the line. She also had a few strong contests on defense, using her strength to stifle defenders at the rim. She had 21 points and 18 rebounds in a dominant performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='433871' first='Jordyn' last='Jackson'] got her buckets in a number of ways Vs. Catholic. Jordyn played off teammates well, and she was really good as an off-ball mover and shooter. Jordyn drove by players, and even though she missed a couple of layups at the rim, she was consistently getting the looks she wanted. St. James was out in transition a lot of this game, and Jordyn made a few nice plays, both passing and finishing.

Early against Menchville, [player_tooltip player_id='983664' first='Nina' last='Mceldon'] used her size and strength to overpower defenders around the rim. She had a rebound off a missed free throw, she turned into an and 1, and she had another and 1 later in the half off a steal. In the second half, Bishop Ireton started to put her in the middle of Menchville's zone, and that's where you started to see her advanced skill. She knocked down a few long twos and had a strong showing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1357632' first='Meme' last='Conteh'] has loads of potential. At times, she dominated for Potomac Senior in their blowout win over Saint Gertrude. Meme is a great athlete with a good motor. Even though she missed a lot of shots at the rim, her activity on the offensive glass was huge. She had a play in transition where she took the ball almost full court, sidestepped a defender, and even though she missed it, you could see the potential she has at her size. She knocked down a long two as well and had a huge impact on this game, finishing with a 20-point, 20-rebound game.
