Tonight, we have a few premier programs in Wisconsin locking horns this season, with Wauwatosa East travelling to Arrowhead in a matchup between the consensus No. 1 and No. 2 teams in Division 1, and Appleton East makes its trip to Kimberly this season in a game that will probably tell us who will take or share the Fox Valley Association crown this winter. I will not be at either of those games, instead opting for a North Shore matchup where Grafton hosts Hartford in a matchup between two of the top three teams in the conference. Now that we've set the stage for what should be a brilliant night of basketball, let's discuss some players for regional programs to know in the current junior class.

The Monona Grove off-ball guard has had an excellent few seasons as a secondary scorer for the Silver Eagles. She isn't a player who will force a lot offensively, but every time she steps on the floor, she's a threat to score 20 points. Schmudlach is an excellent perimeter shooter and has a quick release, which will play at the next level. I also like the edge she plays with in her minutes.

[player_tooltip player_id='751269' first='Madelyn' last='Springer']

The Hortonville guard has excelled since her last AAU season with [program_tooltip program_id='713038' first='Wisconsin' last='Blaze']. She has played with confidence since she got her chance to be a significant part of what the Polar Bears do, thanks to the graduations they've had over the last two springs. She is a quick guard who can turn the corner on her defender, space the floor, and knock down shots from the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='882565' first='Lexi' last='Gruman']

A knee injury took away some momentum from a promising start to her high school career, following a productive first season. Now, as a junior, Gruman has returned to form and shown the promise she displayed as a newcomer in the 2023-24 campaign with the Rams. She is a player who can get downhill, finish around the basket, utilize a floater, and knock down perimeter shots as a set shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1275660' first='Tatum' last='Drazkowski']

I saw Drazkowski play with her Arcadia team for the first time this season, and in the grand scheme of things, they struggled with a talented Eleva-Strum program. However, I would argue that in that game, Drazkowksi was the best player on the floor that night. She is an excellent athlete who has explosiveness to her game and uses it to blow by defenders when she doesn't see an extra defender or any help coming from the weak side.
