Plans for the rest of this week have changed due to the weather. I assume most of the cancelled games from tonight will be rescheduled for tomorrow, if possible. With that in mind, tomorrow I plan to watch a GLIAC game between UW-Parkside and Davenport in Kenosha, then head west for a non-conference matchup between Elkhorn and Janesville Craig in Elkhorn. Before diving into those plans, let's look at some intriguing prospects ahead of the rescheduled action.

[player_tooltip player_id='889783' first='Claire' last='Baldwin']

The Sussex Hamilton wing has had an intriguing first season of high school basketball for the Chargers. Baldwin has the physicality to play around the basket and finish through contact around the rim. The newcomer has also shown the capability to knock down shots from the perimeter and space defenses when given the opportunity. She is a name to know for the future; there is a world where she becomes one of the more prominent players in the Greater Metro over the next few years. It's hard not to appreciate the skill she brings to the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='751243' first='Ava' last='Vogler']

The Sun Prairie East guard is one of the smoothest scorers in the Madison area, and now that the Cardinals have a program that wants to push the ball up the floor more than they have in the past. Vogler is a proven three-level scorer who has become more comfortable as time has passed. Her ability to fit through small gaps to get to the basket gives opposing defenses headaches. She has also done an excellent job of working away from the ball to be a movement player and earn open looks off catch-and-shoot opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id='769179' first='Cali' last='Tagliapietra']

The Grafton guard has steadily improved over the last handful of seasons. In her junior campaign, Tagliapietra has stepped up on both ends of the court, making winning plays all season for a program with the potential to make a run to at least the second weekend of the postseason. The Black Hawk has proved she can hurt defenses from multiple levels and has used her speed and length to make plays in opposing passing lanes.

Alliyah Schwenn

The Viroqua native is a player to note because of the athletic tools she brings to the court whenever she's playing. Schwenn has the speed to blow by anyone who lines up in front of her in her area, and is an entertaining player to watch run around the floor with the ball in her hands. She has plenty of room to grow, but you won't find many guards that have the athleticism she possesses.
