Midseason Watchlist Class of 3A: Best Sharpshooters

The efficiency with the volume she is shooting at is truly unbelievable. Deal can break open games with this type of shooting and has already done so this year. The freshman out of Cherokee High School has had multiple games with five or more made threes. This includes arguably her best offensive game of the season against Unicoi County. In this contest, Deal had 11 made triples and 42 total points. Deal also had a notable game from distance against Central High School. Her mechanics after efforless. Her form from when she takes a shot right behind the line versus a few feet off of it, there is no change. She has also had several games making two or more threes this season. This includes a contest against one of the best teams in the country, Bradley Central. Spriggs, despite the skill of her opponent, showed no fear and laced in six threes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Spriggs also has other notable aspects to her game. She is a great creator and rebounder at the guard position. The sophomore has had several big games this season, in shooting from the outside. One of these was in a recent contest against Sullivan East High School, where Latham made five three-pointers. Latham also made four threes this season against University High School.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The main way Latham does damage with her three-point shot is on catch-and-shoot actions. Norris, at 5'10," can make quick cuts and has good speed. This plays into her getting open for her three-point attempts and also goes into making her a good defender. Norris has a quick jumpshot and can also make shots through good contests.
