Tonight, I'll be attending, potentially, the highest-profile Badger-Large Conference game of the year as Waunakee travels up to Dodge County to take on a talented Beaver Dam program, looking to reclaim their spot atop the conference. However, before I make the drive to Beaver Dam, I'd like to highlight a handful of players. That said, let's talk about some players who've had standout seasons.

Emma Julka

The Beaver Dam guard has a way of finding ways to make winning plays in her minutes. Julka is a player who doesn't need to score to be an effective player offensively. She moves the ball well and can help orchestrate her team's offense whenever she's on the floor as a primary or secondary ball handler. However, she is a player who can space the floor and knock down shots as a perimeter player when defenders help off her. She is also a player who can defend scholarship-level guards.

[player_tooltip player_id='882114' first='Ariell' last='Allen']

The Milwaukee native has always been a player who can knock down shots from the perimeter and score more than 20 points in any given game she plays in. However, she has begun to develop her in-between game and score in the mid-range area or around the basket. Allen is among the most talented guards in her class, and her ability to score will be something that jumps out to anyone who watches her play in the future.

Miley Brotzel

The Amery guard is a player who can get downhill and make plays for herself and others on the offensive end of the court. Her speed is something that players who defend her can't handle for 36 minutes, and the pressure she puts on the basket will open up the court in any game she plays in at the high school level. She is a right-hand dominant player, but she uses a change of pace to get her defenders off balance and attack the basket. She is one of the most prominent stock-risers in Western Wisconsin this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1241412' first='Gemma' last='Gardow']

The newcomer at Regis has been an excellent fit next to someone like her backcourt mate. It has allowed Gardow to be a player who can hunt her shot and make things happen on the weak side of the court. She has had her moments in her first season, which has shown what her potential could be as she continues to develop her game. Gardow will be a player to know in the 2029 class and will become a well-known player before she graduates.
