Friday morning, Prep Girls Hoops Indiana posted the Winter update for the Class of 2026. Typically accompanying updates are articles highlighting players on the move, newcomers, and just all-around general information regarding each position group. Below is a look at the top point guards in the state of Indiana, followed by some commentary on a handful of uncommitted prospects who have played well since the Fall update.

[player_tooltip player_id='486492' first='Ailie' last='Taylor'], Princeton Community H.S.
- Ailie has saved the best for last, as she is having a fantastic Senior season. She is scoring it (19.3 ppg) and handing out assists (3.4 apg) at career-high levels, plus is shooting it the best she ever has from the field (41% FGs) and the line (79% FTs). Ailie is a strong, hard-working, tough-nosed, compact guard who plays low to the ground. She does a really nice job taking care of the ball, plus she can score it a little from all three levels.

[player_tooltip player_id='884487' first='Aniyah' last='Anthony'], Tri-West H.S.
- Aniyah is another lead guard who is averaging career-best numbers in scoring (15.1 ppg) and assists (4.3 apg) for the Bruins. She is also shooting it at a personal best of 82% from the charity stripe. She is a quick, fast, feisty little water-bug who can really get after it. She is a solid ball-handler, a more-than-willing passer, but she can also make shots outside or get to the rim. I also enjoy her ball-hawking ability at the defensive end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='928922' first='Gaby' last='Gonzalez'], Tippecanoe Valley H.S.
- Gaby is one of the grittier players you're going to find in Indiana in any class. She is another strong, tough-nosed, compact guard who does a nice job of using bursts to get by defenders. She has good all-around awareness, she plays with her head up scanning the floor, and she does a solid job of balancing finding open teammates with knocking down shots herself. She is a really nice small college prospect who could help someone.

[player_tooltip player_id='1357838' first='Laney' last='Musall'], North Miami H.S.
- I really enjoy Laney's game, because she is somewhat unassuming and just plays. She is fairly smooth, she possesses some length, and while she might not do anything flashy or exceptional, she is incredibly steady. She is a true lead guard who likes to get her team into their offense, she is constantly looking to give it up to open teammates, but she does have the skill to score/make shots. Laney is also an effortful/effective defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1256524' first='Nina' last='Whitehead'], North Central H.S. (Indianapolis)
- Nina is another enjoyable little guard to watch. She does have good ball skill, quickness, and the ability to make plays for others. But while she utilizes those tools at times, she can also go on scoring runs and likes to shoot/score it off the dribble. Nina uses her handle and quickness to create space from the opponent and get shots away, even with deep range. She could be a problem for several small colleges to match up with.
