Kallie is going to get rebounds that's a given. However, what she has to deal with in order to get those rebounds. When you are a double digit rebounder, it commands being double boxed or even possibly triple boxed in Kallie's case. By my eye test, Kallie isn't over 6 feet. What she is - strong, determined and relentless - when it comes to getting a board, she is going to fight with one hand or one finger to give her a chance to get a rebound.

Samiya shoots over 50% from the floor. I'm shocked it's not even higher than that. Samiya is STRONG, STRONG. She is very good at doing her work early and BURYING her defender under the basket.

I've talked before about Aaliyah's defensive abilities. In this game, there was something else that stood out to me. Her rebounding from the guard spot. There were a couple of occasion when Aaliyah out hustles to get the rebound and another occasion she was in rebounding position for the board.

I am a believer that the tallest person on the team doesn't have to limit their skills to being on the block or in the paint. With Collierville starting the game in a zone, Faye was able to operate on the perimeter to get off a couple of threes. Later on in the game, she was operating in the paint sealing her defender to get opportunities near the basket.

When I was at Southern Miss, I knew before I presented a point guard to Coach McNelis the first question she would ask “ Can she knock down the 3?” From my stats, Aaliyah knocked down 4 straight 3s. As the floor general, she keeps the offensive continuity going. However, that doesn't mean she can't put the ball in the basket sometimes.
