Abdullah is good athlete, plays tough and with an outstanding motor. She gives an edge to Westmoore on the defensive end. On offense, her quickness makes her driving threat with the hops to finish high. And it's continued throughout the year as Gater has slotted in seamlessly and impactful for the 6A contenders. A true two way guard, she's quick and powerful off the bounce on offense. Often with impressive finishing in traffic or over taller players. Brings a hard hat mentality on the defensive end. Gets up and disrupts on the ball, and her long arms leads to deflections in passing lane. Applies a similar mindset and athleticism to attacking rebounds. Is promising on the offensive end, as she can threaten off the bounce. And also often makes the right, unselfish passes. A next step for her would be to her improve her touch when finishing around the rim. She's having an impressive junior year, especially coming off a major knee injury. Her highlights are filled with scoring from all over the court. Confident spot up shooting from three. Then either attacking all the way to the rim, or capable of stopping and scoring via a variety of counter moves in the mid-range.
