And it’s continued throughout the year as Gater has slotted in seamlessly and impactful for the 6A contenders. A true two way guard, she’s quick and powerful off the bounce on offense. Often with impressive finishing in traffic or over taller players. Brings a hard hat mentality on the defensive end. Clearly has the potential to keep rising.

A newcomer to Union, Gater has been a breakout player for the Lady Redhawks. She’s quick and strong off the bounce, good finishing at the rim. Also gets after it on the offensive glass and fitting in perfectly with Union’s tenacious defense. Had a strong stretch in the second quarter, while bringing good energy throughout her time on the court.

Gater has made the move from Glenpool to Union. She makes the Redhawks that much deeper and scarier. Athletic guard, fits perfectly into the aggressive, defensive mindset of Union. Even impressed off the bounce against Newcastle. As she attacked the rim against the tallest player in the gym, and finished right over her. Fun potential for Gater to continue to develop into a defensive specialist this year.
