The first quarter decided the game. Chiawana jumped out to an 18–6 lead in the opening frame and never looked back. Mead struggled to find rhythm offensively, finishing the game shooting 10 of 45 from the field, good for just 22.2 percent. The Riverhawks were not blistering from the floor overall at 36 percent, but their second half efficiency jumped to 45.5 percent and created separation. Chiawana also won the rebounding battle 40–32 and generated 16 points off turnovers compared to Mead's six. When combined with a 21–9 advantage in three point scoring, the gap widened quickly. The final score of 49–29 reflected steady control.

Maldonado led all scorers with 23 points on 7 of 14 shooting, including 5 of 7 from three and 4 of 6 from the free throw line. She added 10 rebounds, giving her a double double in a district setting. Her perimeter shooting created the early separation and forced Mead to extend defensively. When Mead tried to adjust, she punished them inside the arc.

Baylee finished with 8 points and 11 rebounds and quietly controlled the glass. Her rebounding was critical in limiting Mead to one shot possessions. Even when her perimeter attempts did not fall, she remained active defensively and helped generate transition opportunities. Her +8 rebounding presence helped tilt possession margin in Chiawana's favor.

Clyde was efficient and decisive, scoring 10 points on 4 of 7 shooting and going 2 of 2 from the free throw line. She did not force offense but capitalized when the defense shifted toward the Maldonados. Her three rebounds and defensive activity added balance. In a game defined by composure, she provided steady production.

Kostelecky led Mead with 10 points and pulled down eight rebounds. She was one of the few Panthers able to generate consistent offense, hitting two threes and converting from the line. Her effort on the glass helped keep possessions alive despite the shooting struggles around her. She battled throughout even as the deficit grew.

Frederick finished with six points and eight rebounds while playing nearly 31 minutes. Her scoring was limited, but her rebounding effort stood out given the physical disadvantage. She attempted to stabilize the offense during dry stretches, though overall team efficiency made it difficult to generate runs.

Chiawana did not need an explosive scoring night. They needed control, rebounding, and timely perimeter shooting. They got all three. Mead's inability to convert shots at a sustainable rate kept them from ever threatening the early deficit. In a district setting where possessions matter, efficiency and defensive stops carried the Riverhawks forward.
