Class 1A and 2A Miss Tennessee Basketball Finalist

Sure, some will point to the size of their school; however, they flat-out get it done when it comes to competing on the hardwood. From playing high-level ball to bringing those experiences back to their prospective areas, you see an uptick in this so-called smaller class ball. Don't let the number of students in a school fool you, ball is ball, no matter where the location is.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The play of these young ladies matches the pageantry of the sport itself. The girls put on a show, and the town brought the support both at home and away. Being the top performer in these classes means more. Not trying to slight any other classes, but when you hoop at these levels, it's more than just about you.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Let me push the ball down the floor a bit further and introduce you to the finalists for both 2A and 1A schools. By setting milestones along the way, she was a key contributor to her team's success this season. When you think of someone who put in tons of hours in the gym, this young lady comes to mind as she grinded it out to get to where she is now. She has a knack for being around the ball. Can shoot from all levels at a high clip; she's a go-getter who competes until the end. She hasn't hit her peak, yet her play sparked those around her as they capture wins along the way. Look for her to continue growing and become a solid prospect at the top of her class. I love her poise and how she hunts advantageous opportunities for herself or her teammates. She's heading to Cookeville to play at Tennessee Tech, and the program is getting a student-athlete who will help change the trajectory of the program. She's a gamer, a tireless worker, someone who embodies what a true female basketball player is. She's always had a scoring game, but lately, the way she facilitates the rock has been pretty impressive. She's a solid two-way player who competes and wants to be the best. She's fearless and is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. This kid loves to compete and challenge whoever, whenever. Her energy and effort go unnoticed as she is the sparkplug that ignites her team. She can get it done from multiple spots on the floor, get others involved, and contribute to the boards. What I love most about her game is her sticky fingers, which lead to almost five steals a game and easy transition buckets. A hungry individual who is out to prove that she belongs amongst the best in the state. Using her speed and quickness, she can exploit an opponent's weaknesses. From knocking down shots all over the court to facilitating the pass to her teammates, she is a difference-maker who is hard to tame. Once she is on, it's game over as she can carve up an opponent in a multitude of ways. She will be going to Tennessee Tech next season, giving the Lady Eagles another solid guard to add to their flock.
