42 Points is a lot within regulation of a contest with only 32 minutes. That's the feat that [player_tooltip player_id='1497930' first='Jessica' last='Lillig'] accomplished last week when her Southeast Warren team faced off against Moulton-Udell High School. Lillig is a CG, that figured out early on in this battle that she can get to the hoop at Will against her defender. From there, the rest was history. Lillig put up 42 points while only going 2/6 from behind the three point line. This is someone that is usually willing to let it go from deep but she knew in this one that she didn't need to do that. Instead, she just dribbled through everyone and made a bunch of buckets at the rim for her historical night while dishing out 4 assists in the mean time. I'm sure that is something that Lillig will remember for the rest of her life.

Kam Fink is an interesting prospect out of the 2028 Class at this time. Ever since Fink was a freshman, she has been a killer for Highland High School. She has been averaging high numbers in PPG, she has proven that she is a solid distributor, and she continues to crash the boards at an impressive rate for someone who is 5'8 at the Guard position. Last week Fink finished off a game with 24 rebounds in regulation. This is such a high number that I'm not sure we will see it again out of a Guard over the next few years. Usually if you grab over 10 rebounds throughout a contest as a Guard, it's something to talk about. When you grab 24, it's something to write about and knowing that Fink also shows up in all the other facets of the game makes it even more impressive.

Quick instincts, fast hands, elite footwork. These are just a few of the phrases that you could use to describe [player_tooltip player_id='1154191' first='Brynn' last='Clarahan'] and how she plays the game of Basketball. Clarahan is a more underrated prospect out of the 2028 Class at the PG position. She has been a player that has put up respectable numbers ever since last year for Sigourney and she has only built on that this season the past few months. A good example of the potential Clarahan can bring to the hardwood occurred about a week ago when she stole the ball on 12 occasions in a game. Every time her opponent brought the basketball down the floor, she did the same move and Clarahan picked up on that early on, eventually causing chaos as she consistently went for steal attempts throughout. All in all, this was a great showing for Clarahan and company. If they compete with this energy against some of their next opponents, they should be a promising place moving into the middle of February.

We mentioned [player_tooltip player_id='677843' first='Hayden' last='Kuhlmann'] previously as someone to watch at Spirit Lake this Winter as their leader with the ball in her possession. Kuhlmann, the 5'6 PG, is a natural when it comes to leading her team as she puts up eye-opening numbers in different positive statistical categories. She is a prospect that always seems to make the right play and she understands how the rhyme of the game works whenever she is competing live. In one of Spirit Lakes battles last week Kuhlmann finished with 12 assists to her fellow teammates. This number jumps out for a few reasons but mainly because that is a lot of assists within one contest. If you actually look back at Kuhlmann's last couple of games, she is sitting right around the 11 APG range. Which is again, very noteworthy. She is finding her teammates at such a high rate right now, it might be at the best rate throughout the entire state. This is something to keep an eye on moving into the Playoffs. If Kuhlmann can keep up with the high assist numbers, watch out!

If you are trying to attacking the bucket off of the bounce against Chariton High School, you better be aware of Bailey McGee and where she is at, at all times or else it's going to end in a block party for the Senior SG. McGee has had her game on point these past few weeks. She has been killing her individual matchups, defending like her life depends on it, while also being a threat on the offensive end at several levels when things open up. Last week McGee showed out and demonstrated her mixture of power + athletic ability. She recorded 8 blocks in one of their battles, standing out as someone that you shouldn't mess with near the hoop. Chariton has putting together a Winter to remember at this point. They have very few losses and i'm sure they are looking to keep it that way as we get into the Post-season.
