<p>Maryvale Prep came into the C conference championship game as heavy favorites after posting an 8-0 record in conference play and an outstanding 18-2 mark overall. They were matched up with a tough Garrison Forest team who sported an impressive 7-1 record themselves. </p>

<p>Garrison Forest looked a little nervous and out of sorts to start the game and it didn't take long for Maryvale took capitalize. Behind a couple of three pointers by Cayden Reese and Caroline Mosher, The Lions built a quick 18-4 lead. The Grizzlies fought back in the second quarter with a rally of their own and cut the lead to 27-18 at the half. Maryvale came out in the third quarter and slammed the door shut with a 15-4 run. They led by 20 after three. The fourth quarter was pretty much even and Maryvale walked away with the school's first IAAM championship with a resounding 49-28 final score.</p>

<p><strong>Cayden Reese, Maryvale Prep, 2026, Guard</strong></p>

<p>Cayden had a tremendous game for the Lions. She registered 4 assists in the first quarter alone and also added a three-pointer. She used her athleticism on both ends of the court to impact the game. She was disruptive on defense and was the team's top playmaker on offense by either scoring or setting her teammates up. She finished with 11 points and 8 assists. </p>

<p><strong>Rhian O'Connor, Maryvale Prep, 2027, Forward</strong></p>

<p>Rhian provided all the interior presence that the Lions needed in this one. She was a force on the boards and Garrison really had no answer for her. She finished with a double double of 12 points and 11 rebounds. </p>

<p>Maddie provided a great scoring burst late in this game to help the Lions hold off Garrison. She was all over the court hustling and using her speed and quickness to get to the basket. She brought a lot of energy, especially in the fourth quarter.</p>

<p><strong>Kaiyah Jones, Garrison Forest, 2029, Wing </strong></p>

<p>Kaiyah had a tremendous game and allowed her team to stay as close as they did. She scored a game high 14 points and showed off some nice ball handling skills. She's a crafty scorer and the freshman gave Maryvale defenders all they could handle. She showed a real competitive spirit throughout the game and her teammates fed off of it. </p>
