That team is, of course, Legacy Early College. This year's Lions concluded the season at 13-6 and particularly performed well on the road and at neutral site contests. Legacy Early College went undefeated during its neutral site schedule and went 3-1 away from home.

The Lions, coached by Latrese Davis, are set to join the South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) next season and compete as a 3A team in Region 2-AAA with Belton-Honea Path, Emerald, Palmetto, Powdersville and Wren. Here, we look back on the Lions' season by spotlighting four of its notable standouts.

Buff has been a signature player for the Lions since she transferred some years ago from Wade Hampton where she helped the Generals advance to an Upper State 4A championship game in the 2023-24 season. The star two guard in her senior season concluded her high school career with an exclamation point as she averaged 16.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists. Buff's final season playing on the AAU circuit was spent with SC Sixers. As of today, she remains one of the many unsigned seniors across South Carolina and will be a worthwhile addition to a team looking for an effective scoring threat from distance.

Prior to sporting gold and purple of Legacy Early College, Proctor was a standout at Easley. Proctor is another backcourt standout who averaged 10.7 points and 2.5 steals per game. Throughout her travel career, Proctor has spent time with [program_tooltip program_id='713005' first='Upward' last='Stars'] which plays on the Adidas circuit. Proctor was one of two juniors on this year's Lions team. One can place Proctor in a team's starting lineup either as a two guard or at the point. Proctor first played at the varsity level when she was an eighth grader at the Green Wave. Making transition plays is among the positives of Proctor's well-developed game.

Hickman is a featured name in the frontcourt for Legacy Early College and is another name that has ran with [program_tooltip program_id='713005' first='Upward' last='Stars'] on the Adidas circuit. The Lions program has a reputation for its ability to bring in top-tier talent from other schools – Hickman previously played at Eastside before joining Legacy Early College. While her primary spot on the floor is at the three, a team can place Hickman in its lineup as either a four or a five. Hickman is the second of the two 2027s that comprised this year's Lions version. She averaged 8.6 points, a team-leading 6.7 rebounds and 2.4 steals per contest in 2025-26.

Shifting our focus back to Legacy Early College's backcourt, Stadler has played at the varsity level since she was a seventh grader, giving her more experience than the average 2029. In 2025-26, Stadler averaged 8.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game. Her AAU career has included playing with Built Better Basketball as well as with Carolina All In which plays on the New Balance Lady P32 circuit. Stadler also has experience on the Adidas circuit playing with [program_tooltip program_id='713005' first='Upward' last='Stars']. At one point in her travel career, she also wore the uniform of FBC Upstate. That seventh-grade season, she wore the navy blue and burgundy hues of Fountain Inn.
