No one is going to touch [player_tooltip player_id='1262585' first='Taylor' last='Evans'] and the number of blocks has has recorded this Winter with Prince of Peace Catholic. Evans, the 6'3 PF, is just too big and coordinated for her competition level at this time. That was proven this season on multiple occasions on the defensive side of the ball alone. When opposing teams game-plan against Prince of Peace, Evans is their #1 priority. She takes up a lot to space in the lane as you might imagine and she has the fundamental discipline to eat on defense every time she takes the court. Once an opponent beats their original defender on the outside, Evans is there waiting, ready to alter any attempt near by. With only a few games left, Evans has 142 blocks. To give you an idea, the next highest block total throughout the state currently sits at 89. A 53 block difference so we should anticipate Evans to hold down this #1 spot as we move into the Playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='510277' first='Izzy' last='Eisbach'] is going to finish off the regular season as the scoring leader throughout the state for back2back seasons. Eisbach, the Northwest Missouri Bearcat WBB commit, has an established career as a SG or Scoring Guard. She can light the nets on fire in a heartbeat and by the boat load when she is in her zone. Throughout her program's 21 games this Winter, she averaged 32.8 PPG on 41.2%. She scored 688 points while making 252 field goals in total while leading her Wolverines to a 19-2 record. This season Eisbach has some help around her and because of that, they will have a shot to make the State Tournament in DSM. It's not going to be easy though as they will have to get through reigning 2A Champions, The Hinton Blackhawks. If they scout correctly and keep things on lock with worrying about one game at a time, it's going to give them a chance and that's all you can ask for.

When you face off against Heartland Christian and look at the scouting report, it's going to say that Corinne Anderson is someone that you HAVE to find on the offensive glass. If not, she is going to eat you alive with second chance opportunities. Anderson, the coordinated Sophomore, is relentless in her pursuit of the basketball when she is on offense. She might not be the one to take the first shot attempt but she is great at finding the ball off of those missed attempts and putting it back up for simple buckets in the middle of the floor. Anderson finished off her regular season with 145 rebounds on the offensive glass alone. That's an impressive number and it shows just how good Anderson has been on that side of things. She produces even when she isn't scoring and that is something coaches love to see from a college recruitment perspective.

292 Rebounds. That is the number that [player_tooltip player_id='782509' first='Kennedy' last='Brant'] registered throughout her team's 21 games during the regular season. That places Brant as the #1 rebounder in the state, according to the numbers, for the 2025-2026 high school season throughout all Class levels. This is quite the accomplishment and something that makes sense when you think about it. Brant is competing on a highly competitive Gladbrook-Reinbeck team in a lower Class within Iowa. If you combined that with the fact that she is coordinated, calculated, smart, and she has natural size at 6FT - it checks out. If GBR wants to keep on their same pace, they need to stay on track and that starts with the play of Brant out of the Post. If she can limited the opposing team to one shot per possession, it's going to heighten their chances in the end. It's just basic math.

In their last contest of the season, PG - [player_tooltip player_id='1556440' first='Aniya' last='Hardee'] of Bedford tied for the lead with the total number of Assists on the year with 149. Hardee hit this number to tie Spirit Lakes' starting PG - [player_tooltip player_id='677843' first='Hayden' last='Kuhlmann']. Being the top assist leader in the state means a few things. As an individual it means that you have elite vision, you can hit an open teammate with a simple pass, and you are always looking for the others around you off of the dribble. It also means that your teammates are finish those simple assists, which doesn't always happen in most situations. You have to give your hats off to Hardee and Kuhlmann honestly. Anyone who can lead the state in total Assists for an entire season, can play at some level in college once they graduate. Where exactly? That is debatable but somewhere for sure.
