The Full 32: Okarche vs Calumet

Where the Class A fifth ranked Lady Warriors hosted Class B-1 sixth ranked Calumet. Was equally impressive with her passing and creation as her scoring. Heads up and on the money transition passing while pushing the tempo. Good job of swinging it cross court to open shooters in the halfcourt. Along with the creation, she was a handful off the dribble as scoring. Blew by defenders to get to the rim and shooting it well off of pull ups. Was the best athlete on the court, displaying good speed and quickness. Which allowed her to make plays on both ends of the floor. From a chase down block in transition to carving up the defense on a drive to end a quarter. Has a bag as a scorer, sets up opponents with a strong power dribble. Then can shake and bake with hesitation moves to the rim, or hit counters with spin moves. Tough bucket getter against contact. Shoots it well off the dribble, quickly getting into her compact shooting form. With a good balanced base. Hits in the mid-range and from beyond the arc. Ended the game with what looked like a nasty ankle injury. Works hard in transition for easy buckets by beating opponents down the court. Similar good effort as a rebounder and walling up inside. In the halfcourt, she can pass out double teams. Has good hands to catch and finish quickly too. On offense, she really came alive in the second half, hitting from the mid-range and even three.
