Top 12 in 5A: W. Albany rises, Crescent Valley returns in Week 11

Springfield remains my pick to win the 5A title for the fourth week in a row. Springfield (19-2, 8-0)</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Springfield defeated Eagle Point 66-32 on the road. The Millers host Thurston on Tuesday and travel to Ashland on Friday. West Albany (15-5, 11-1)</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>West Albany swept South Albany after closing out a 60-53 upset on Tuesday and rises two spots to No. 2. <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2026/01/5a-no-6-west-albany-upsets-no-1-south-albany-40-34/">Round one</a> and <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2026/02/mid-willamette-west-albany-closes-out-south-albany-60-53/">round two</a> against the RedHawks both came down to the final minute. The Bulldogs routed Corvallis 81-26. [player_tooltip player_id='832050' first='Payton' last='Starwalt'] scored a career-high 51 points, the biggest single-game scoring performance in program history.
