The 5A field is more open than I expected as we enter the last four weeks of regular-season play. While Springfield remains ranked at No. 1 in the Top 12 for the third week in a row, there isn't a clear favorite to win the state title. Week 10 featured two upsets—unranked Bend snuck past a shorthanded No. 12 Summit in the fourth quarter, and No. 7 Silverton's freshmen stepped up at No. 4 West Albany.
