Week of 2/2 Top Point Guards Viewed

Sams plays with poise beyond her years, controls her pace, and never looks rushed. She showed the ability to knock down shots and manage the game, as shown by her game-high 10 assists. Her game has always been mature, but it continues to elevate as she gains more experience. She controlled the tempo in the win over Hamilton and consistently put teammates in positions to get quality looks. Smith brings a complete skill set at the point guard spot—she can handle, distribute, and defend at a high level. She plays scrappy on the ball, competes defensively, and also showed a nice touch from the perimeter. She quarterbacked her team, consistently putting them in positions that created good three-point looks. She's a very good ball handler who showed leadership against Arizona Lutheran Academy. Bonana also displayed deep shooting range, extending well beyond the arc.
