3A IHSA State Preview; Who To Watch

It is anyone's game down at state as Washington, St. Viator, Trinity, and Glenwood will all be fighting to lift that state championship trophy.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The first matchup of the morning will be Trinity vs. Glenwood. Glenwood enters this matchup at 29-4, with a dominant 62-35 super sectional victory. Trinity comes in at 25-10, winning their super sectional 50-36. Both teams are battle tested coming into this one, and it's poised to be a great game. She features a smooth shooting stroke, and plays smart offensively. Hope runs the floor very well, scoring in transition. On the defensive side of things, she can wreck havoc creating plenty of steals and blocks. St. Viator is 22-14 coming in, and fresh off a close 46-43 super sectional win. Washington is 33-2, as they won in crushing fashion 73-47 in their super sectional. St. Viator is a battle tested team that will be ready for this one. Washington has been a buzzsaw this year, dominating just about everyone put in front of them. The panthers have all the tools to cut down the nets this year, but they have to get through this one first. She can truly do it all whether it's stepping out to hit a 3 or running the floor and making a play. On the defensive end her ability to get blocks, really stood out to me. Kate does not seem like a freshman on the court, she plays well beyond her years. She had 13 points thru 3 quarters in their super-sectional.
