Sophomore point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1232849' first='Lily' last='Griffin'] showed up big time for No. 9 West Salem in the playoffs, combining for 29 points, 16 rebounds, and 6 steals in two wins to help the Titans advance to the state tournament. Griffin, named to the Central Valley Conference Second Team, is a tenacious perimeter defender who can knock down threes and get to the rim. She fights for 50/50s and follows shots to win offensive rebounds. In a Round of 16 win against No. 8 Jesuit, Griffin scored 14 efficient points with 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. West Salem will meet No. 1 Tualatin in the 6A state quarterfinals at the Chiles Center on Thursday.

Oien, named to the Mt. Hood Conference First Team, is a two-way guard who can score from all three levels. She hangs inside to finish through contact and the foul. Oien led Clackamas in scoring in her junior season, averaging 19.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. She's a key part of an upperclassmen core that should lead Clackamas to the state tournament next year.

Unsigned senior [player_tooltip player_id='921624' first='Sami' last='Griffin'], named to the Central Valley Conference First Team, delivered a double-double (21 points and 12 rebounds with 4 steals) for No. 9 West Salem in a Round of 32 win against No. 24 Central Catholic. The Five-foot-10 forward uses her length to rebound on both ends. She brings up the ball, finishes around the rim, and steps outside to drain threes. The Titans need a big game from Griffin on Thursday as they take on No. 1 Tualatin in the state quarterfinals.

Junior [player_tooltip player_id='925981' first='Ruby' last='Foord'] led Beaverton in scoring in both playoff games with 22 and 11 points against Lincoln and Benson, respectively. Foord can post up and drive to the rim, finishing strong through contact and the foul. She's also a tough defender and rebounder. While injuries to key players spoiled Beaverton's state tournament aspirations this season, Foord will be a part of a senior-led team that should make it to the state tournament next year.

Lathen broke the Cavers' girls basketball single-game scoring record, dropping 37 points in a regular-season nonleague game against Eagle Point. The 6-foot guard/forward plays at her own pace, has great footwork, and can create for herself inside and out. Grants Pass was eliminated earlier than expected, but should be back to make a postseason run behind Lathen and [player_tooltip player_id='1125435' first='Eva' last='Lindahl'] next year.

Junior center Kyle Proulx scored a combined 23 points in two playoff games for Mountainside. Proulx, named to the Metro League Third Team, has a sturdy frame to battle for buckets and rebounds inside. She can release high and strong through contact. The Mavericks made ranked teams sweat late in the season, and their postseason run ended at South Medford in the Round of 16. Proulx scored a team-high 9 points against the Panthers. She should continue to provide Mountainside with a big presence inside next year.
