After being shut out in the first half, she came alive to start the third. Helping Red Oak build a narrow edge. Then in overtime she displayed one of the best traits a shooter can have. A short term memory, because the next one is going in. She drilled a big above the break three pointer to put Red Oak up by 5. For a moment in the second half, it looked like the senior would single-handily carry the Falcons to a victory by herself. She was getting to it off the bounce and scoring tough bucket after bucket at the rim. Her all action playing style also led to her grabbing 8 rebounds and recording 5 steals. Knows positioning and was an amazing rim deterrent throughout the game. She kept battling even when poked in the eye in the first half and having to deal with physical play. Her teammates found her for a go ahead score in the fourth that looked like it would be the difference. But when the game went to overtime, they went right back to her. Back to back times she got deep position and scored both times. Scored in pockets in the mid-range and at the rim. Her scoring faded in the second half but her effort and impact didn't. Nearly forced on turnover with her team down 2 points late in the third. Then did force a turnover with about 10 seconds left that helped force overtime. In the extra period she drilled a pull up three, nearly sparking a miracle comeback. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Chain finished with a game high 13 points. It was a tough ending to her sophomore season. But it does look like with a spring and summer of training and AAU play, she'll be ready to make a junior year leap.
