As these seniors close the chapter on their high school careers, this serves as one final opportunity to recognize their efforts and the moments that helped shape the class. Here's one last look at the players who helped define the Class of 2026.    A long, mobile guard, Nunley stood out with her defensive activity and intensity. She picked up full court, stayed engaged in the half court, and created extra possessions by reading passing lanes. On the offensive end, she displayed a confident mid-range pull-up and used her quick burst to get downhill and finish through physical play.     Breland is a a high-energy guard who uses her athleticism to influence the game defensively and offensively. She creates turnovers with active hands on the ball and by reading passing lanes. On offense, she finished effectively at the basket and added another layer with a confident midrange shot.     Scherpereel is a true senior combo guard, meaning her experience sets her apart on the court and coaches can rely on her to provide quality minutes. She can handle the pressure which relieves the point guard and you have to play her honest as she will use her first step to blow by. She is just as consistent on the defensive end.     De La Garza impressed with her defensive effort and instincts. She plays bigger than her size, beating players to spots and creating steals with active hands. Offensively, she showed a quick first step, touch finishing with either hand, and the ability to score both off the dribble and on catch-and-shoot looks     Comeaux established herself as a force inside, bringing toughness and consistency to the frontcourt. She closed out her senior season battling against Hightower's star center <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/ogechi-okeke/">[player_tooltip player_id='855743' first='Ogechi' last='Okeke']</a>, showing resilience against one of the top post players in the state. Her game reflects a blue-collar mentality, doing the physical work needed to control the paint.     A long guard who contributed on the glass and in transition, showing the ability to go end-to-end. She also created offense off the bounce and finished plays. Defensively, she was solid and created opportunities by reading passing lanes.
