Okeke continues to elevate her game, becoming more than a player standing above “the magic number” who was a back-to-the-basket decoy with potential. Well, let me also add that she was “long and athletic,” which is the base, and seeing her put in the work to show signs of dominance on both ends consistently was a treat for me. She blocked shots, she altered and deflected them, plus she hit the boards on both ends, yet her scoring around the basket and defense were also impressive

#4 up from #6 Okeke sold me before she entered high school and came in relatively unknown because she was new to the states, United, not just Texas see evaluations here I didn’t get a chance to see her on the circuit this season, yet I just saw a clip that she’s joining the EYBL platform. 6’5, college ready body and the updated videos are showing her being dominant on both ends of the court

Okeke continues to show improvement on the offensive end, hands and footwork look better every time I catch her but her lateral movement on the defensive end was more than solid, as was here rebounding

The more I see her, the more she shows me and I take it back to my initial sighting showing how raw her talent was yet her eagerness to learn stood out. She falls into that “you won’t outwork me” group and from the 5 spot, I haven’t said that about too many players. She’s showing something else, the potential to take over games as well as change the momentum from both ends of the court. Yes, she scores with players hanging on her in the paint, and rebounds on both ends but seeing her handle the ball after rebounding has been added, as well as scoring from the wing off the dribble. She’s facing the basket for buckets and defending both in and outside the paint yet her timing to block, alter, and (or) deflect shots has, well SHOT UP

Okeke makes her presence felt immediately as she is learning how to take over games on both ends of the court. She’s “strong, long and athletic” and she gave me the “hands and footwork” numerous times to score around the basket, with either hand. She also score on putbacks, yes, she rebounds on both ends of the court but what impressed be even more was her court vision from both the high and low post. She also is dropping the 10 footer better yet her interior defense is more than solid

Okeke has the college ready frame and the next level game keeps rising. Let me also add that she stands way above “the magic number” yet the magic I’m watching on the court has me beaming because from where she was on my initial sighting, to her gradually adding more throughout high school, to seeing her showing signs of dominating on both ends has been very nice. The hands and footwork to score with players literally hanging on her is one thing, her hitting the boards and handling the ball afterward is another. Her defense both in and outside the paint keeps getting better, she’s scoring on putbacks, yes she rebounds on both ends, and she showing she can face the basket and score. Her stock will continue to rise

Okeke has shown progression since caught her initially at The Legends event hosted by Cynthia Cooper and Sheryl Swoopes and as her legend is about to begin, she continues to show she has the potential to dominate a game from either end of the court. Her college ready frame, her height, her being “long and athletic” all play a part in what’s coming yet she is going after everything off the rim and finishing with players literally hanging on her. Interior defense is nice but she’s showing she can play at the top of the press as well as defend outside the paint

Okeke grabbed my attention when I covered Cynthia Cooper and Sherryl Swooped tournament last club season and with her being relatively unknown combined with her size and frame, I figured she would cause problems early. She did just that at the Peggy Whitley Classic and has shown progression since then. She’s moving more fluidly, even stepping outside the paint to defend, se does a good job inside but her rebounding on both ends, running the floor, on both ends and give a glimpse of what’s coming with the “hands and footwork” has me smiling
