Baylee is constantly in the gym working on her craft and it shows every time she steps on the floor. She is not afraid to pull up and knock down the three, and her basketball IQ is exceptional for an 8th grader. Baylee isn't afraid to take over when needed and make difficult shots. She has the confidence and ability to stretch the defense with her outside shot, but she's far from just a shooter. Gracie can attack off the dribble, penetrate the defense, and finish at the basket. She does all the little things that don't always show up in the stat sheet but help teams win games. Setting strong screens, making hustle plays, and being in the right spot offensively are all part of her game. She understands her role and executes it extremely well. She showed the ability to break the press with confidence, create opportunities for her teammates, and lock down opponents defensively. Add in some timely jumpers and big moments, and you have a guard who quietly changes the flow of games. She controlled the full court with athleticism, length and versatility, finishing through contact and hitting shots from the perimeter. What really surprised defenders was her ability to put the ball on the floor and use a quick first step going left to blow by slower defenders and finish strong at the rim. This long guard has a beautiful three-point shot and knocked down plenty from deep. But her game doesn't stop there. Avery also attacked the rim with confidence and finished multiple plays around the basket, including several strong left-hand finishes.
