<p>The Arizona 5A Quarterfinal game between Pueblo and North had drama as well as history. Pueblo's [player_tooltip player_id='607509' first='America' last='Cazares'] needed 21 points to become the Arizona All-Time Scoring Leader for girls (2913 points) which was set by Julie Brase of Catalina Foothills HS in 1998. The game was highly competitive and went back and forth with both teams unable to pull away when they took the lead. Cazares surpassed the record in the middle of the 3rd quarter, but continued to score from deep three, or in the paint. She ended up with 39 points, but unfortunately suffered a knee injury with less than 2 minutes left in the game and did not return. North ended up scoring on a drive with 7 seconds left in the game which put them ahead by 1 point. Pueblo was unable to get a shot off before the buzzer, and the game was over, with North winning in an incredibly hard fought battle by both teams. She averaged about 35 points per game this season and that led the state. She is incredibly skilled at hitting 3 point shots, and her range is much deeper than the High School 3 point line. She can also score on drives to the basket and mid range jump shots. She has good size for a 2 guard, and she can play small forward as well. She is a good defender, a good passer, and she is very skilled at handling the ball. America will play for Pima Community College next season. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Brooklyn Espinoza has emerged as one of the best forwards in Southern Arizona. She has good size and length, and she is a terrific 3-sport athlete. She was 3rd in the entire state of Arizona in rebounds per game at 15.6. She also is able to block shots and alter shots because of her size and athleticism. Brooklyn is also starting to become an offensive threat. She excelled on drives to the basket this season because of her speed, and her shooting also improved. Look for Brooklyn to be highly recruited before her Senior Season arrives. </p>

Soto has good size and she is very agile and athletic. She is a good rebounder both on the offensive end and the defensive end. She runs the floor well, is good in press situations, and she can finish well in fast break opportunities.Soto definitely has the ability to play on the next level. </p>

She is an outstanding ball handler, passer, and shooter. She really excels at drives to the basket either with finishes at the rim, or pull up floaters or jumpers. She is a big, strong, and physical. She makes her presence known both on the offensive end and the defensive end. Look for Tahjie to be one of the top recruited prospects in Arizona in the next few years.</p>
