Freeman was on go all weekend and was a handful for just about every team North faced. She scored from all three levels, attacked the glass, and routinely grabbed rebounds before pushing the ball coast to coast. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she averaged a double-double during the event. She was that active.

Tahjie has excellent shot deception and very high basketball IQ. She finishes well under control. She maintains her balance every time she elevates off one or two feet. The way Tahjie runs the lane creates easy scoring opportunities for her team before defenses can recover. She forces defensive mismatches through how she positions herself early. She sprints the floor on every possession, no matter if she is involved in the play or not. She reads help defense quickly and is comfortable in changing her pace. She has excellent body control when she catches the ball in motion. She always appears to relocate into scoring windows. Tahjie cuts well to the basket with excellent timing. She can create easy buckets for herself thanks to her high basketball IQ. What stands out the most about Tahjie is her ability to attack if her defender overreacts to her movement.

Strong combo guard with excellent passing skills and vision. She controls the game and sets the tone with her energy and IQ. She can rack up points quickly and efficiently but might be more dangerous as a playmaker. Good size and physical style with some finesse to go with it.

TT picked up her first Division I offer from UNLV after a very productive club season, and I don’t think it will be her last. She’s a guard I’ve watched continue to improve, and that first offer should only give her more confidence heading into her sophomore season—definitely one to keep an eye on.

One of the most athletic young prospects in Arizona, Freeman played with a nonstop motor. She excelled in transition, attacked downhill aggressively, and showed the ability to step out and knock down perimeter shots when defenses backed off.

Poised and dynamic two-way player with excellent instincts. Freeman controlled the tempo and impacted both ends with smart, confident decisions.

Tahjie Freeman Tahjie Freeman 5'10" | CG Phoenix North | 2029 State AZ is an outstanding prospect. She earned Player of the Year honors in her Region as a Freshman. She is an outstanding ball handler, passer, and shooter. She really excels at drives to the basket either with finishes at the rim, or pull up floaters or jumpers. She is a big, strong, and physical. She makes her presence known both on the offensive end and the defensive end. Look for Tahjie to be one of the top recruited prospects in Arizona in the next few years.

Freeman doesn’t play like a freshman — she plays like the engine. She’s been North’s tone-setter all season and hasn’t blinked in the postseason. Offensively, she can score it at all three levels, but what stands out is her defensive activity and poise. She embraces big moments. If North punches a ticket to the title game, it’ll be because their freshman leader doesn’t look like one.

The freshman guard has been nothing short of special this season. TT isn’t just having a good year “for a freshman” — she’s having one of the better seasons in 5A, period. She leads North in virtually every statistical category and is averaging a double-double from the guard spot, which tells you everything about her motor and impact. Freeman plays with confidence beyond her years. She scores at all three levels, rebounds in traffic, and competes defensively. What stands out most is her willingness to embrace the moment. If North is going to make a serious run, it’ll be because their freshman star continues to play like a veteran.

Freeman did everything she could to keep the Mustangs in the game against McClintock, finishing with game highs of 21 points and 11 rebounds. The freshman showed elite athleticism, competitiveness, and the ability to finish through contact. TT also showed that she can step out and hit perimeter shots. Easily one of the top freshmen in the state.
