PGHNJ has just released its rankings update for the rising senior class. This new-look Top 10 is loaded with talent, representing both public and private schools. Let's dive in for a further look:

[player_tooltip player_id='651517' first='Aleah' last='Sunkins'] | Franklin

New Rank: #1 | Previous Rank: #1

Li stays put at number one in this update. She went up against top tier talent and was one of the best on the floor every single time. She averaged a double-double at 17.9 PPG & 10.7 RPG, leading her team in points and rebounds. Her versatility was on full display, scoring the ball inside & out and putting forth a strong defensive effort, averaging 2.0 BPG & 2.0 SPG.

[player_tooltip player_id='835906' first='El-Anita' last='Joe-Samuel'] | Lenape

New Rank: #2 | Previous Rank: #4

One word to describe Anita's game: DOMINANT. Single coverage was ineffective, and even double and triple teams sometimes failed to contain her. She was on a tear from beginning to end, averaging 24.5 PPG, 9.4 RPG, 2.3 APG, 1.1 BPG & 2.6 SPG, making her one of the most well-rounded players in the state. She never once was held to single-digit scoring, and was held to less than 20 points just seven times in thirty-three games! Her wicked versatility land unmatched physicality led the Indians to the Group 4 state chip.

[player_tooltip player_id='667787' first='Jacqueline' last='Edelman'] | Morris Catholic

New Rank: #3 | Previous Rank: #2

Jax had her best season to date with the Crusaders, leading them in scoring en-route to a sectional title and 25-6 record. The 6'0" guard made an impact across the board, averaging 13.7 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 2.3 APG & 1.8 SPG in thirty-one games. With a canon of a 3-point shot, she devastated opponents and completely deflated even the tightest defense. She was poised under pressure!

[player_tooltip player_id='825463' first='Rhyan' last='Watt'] | West Orange

New Rank: #4 | Previous Rank: #16

Rhyan might just have the best two-way game of any player in the state. She's ultra shifty, scores the ball from anywhere and is supremely scrappy defensively. Her court vision is one of the most underrated parts of her game, reading the floor well and delivering dimes to get everyone involved. Everybody EATS when Rhyan is dictating! She averaged an impressive 18.3 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 3.0 APG & 3.8 SPG and did it against stiff competition, too.

[player_tooltip player_id='835485' first='Addison' last='Keenan'] | Caldwell

New Rank: #5 | Previous Rank: #9

Addy led the way with incredible two-way guard play. She buried deep 3 balls, executed crispy passes and applied nightmarish defensive pressure. The scrappy lead guard averaged 18.6 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 4.0 APG & 4.0 SPG and took the Chiefs all the way to the Group 2 state final.

[player_tooltip player_id='651518' first='Lauryn' last='Downing'] | St. Thomas Aquinas

New Rank: #6 | Previous Rank: #10

Lauryn possesses some of the tightest handles of any player in the Garden State. She keeps the ball on a string, breaking down opponents to create space for quality looks at the basket. Her court vision is also elite, often times feeding her teammates through the smallest of gaps. Locked in both on offense and defense, she averaged 11.4 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 6.0 APG & 2.9 SPG, putting up the best numbers of her career.

[player_tooltip player_id='789189' first='Brooke' last='Stagliano'] | Paul VI

New Rank: #7 | Previous Rank: #3

A sharpshooter with parking lot range, Brooke's heater burns for days; has one of the quickest releases of anyone in this class. She thrives at an uptempo pace and can be devastating off the bounce. She continues to get better and better at finishing through contact and fighting through high pressure D. With the highest scoring season of her career, Brooke averaged 16.8 PPG and buried fifty-seven 3's.

[player_tooltip player_id='789186' first='Zoe' last='Wasserlauf'] | Demarest

New Rank: #8 | Previous Rank: #8

Zoe put forth a well-balanced effort across the board, averaging 12.1 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 3.5 APG & 2.5 SPG in her first year in Noresemen threads. A high IQ and high level of execution helped her team a 24-4 record, including an undefeated 9-0 run in conference play. Her skills running point were on full display in what was a breakout junior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='676824' first='Keiara' last='Sellers'] | Paul VI

New Rank: #9 | Previous Rank: #40

A super savvy PG with a relentless motor, Keaira is someone you want on your team, and someone you dread playing against. She does all the little things and is the engine that makes Paul VI go, with solid balance in scoring, assists and steals; averaged 9.4 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 3.7 APG & 2.6 SPG.

[player_tooltip player_id='651485' first='Kaitlyn' last='Platt'] | Gill St. Bernard's

New Rank: #10 | Previous Rank: #28

Kaity was the biggest stock riser in the state this season! She turned it up and helped GSB win the Non-Public B sectional and achieve a 22-6 record. She proved to be much more than just a scoring threat, proving to be one of the best rebounding guards and defenders in her class. Strong versatility made for averages of 13.0 PPG, 7.3 RPG, 2.9 APG, 1.3 BPG & 2.5 SPG.
