Hot Takes: Kids Who Stocks Will Rise

It's been a long year (starting in November until now), but it's really about to get even more exciting. Kids will see how much they have grown and can measure up against top-tier talent from many different parts of the country. As a state, we will have teams in&nbsp; TN, AZ, WI, TX, and PA all competing in front of collegiate coaches this upcoming weekend. Exciting? Absolutely. Any time a kid gets an opportunity to show college coaches what their game is all about, I am all for that. We have some talented girls in our state, and personally, I believe if a school (no matter the level) needed a kid to contribute to their program, look no further than the state of Tennessee. Biased? I know. It's just the way I feel.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I do feel that this upcoming season, we are going to see a lot more Tennessee girls jump on the radars of collegiate coaches. They will either get more offers than they currently have, or if they are in the beginning stages of recruitment, it will pick up significantly. I like what I am seeing around the state, and there is plenty of buzz in the air about these next classes. Even with all the transfer portal stuff going on, we have some solid ballplayers that would be nice additions for some programs at the next level. So if you are able to catch some games live or stream them, make sure to tune in to a team from Tennessee, because you will see some solid ballplayers who will be getting after it and making a name for themselves.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here are a few girls I expect to see their names circled in scouting books this first go-round. She has gotten comfortable with the style of play here in the States. Her game has grown with the work she has put in, but she has produced at a high volume across multiple categories every time she steps onto the floor. Scoring and rebounding, she is a sure double-double in those categories. Has the ability to send away multiple shots, blocking them into the stands. She, too, has grown over the year and is a menace around the rim. Her ability to use her size as an advantage is really good. I love her ability to keep plays alive and stack multiple efforts. From rebounding to scoring, she's solid inside and contributes on both ends of the floor effectively. A selfless leader who can score from all 3 levels, but her defense has become a major calling card for her. She can make things difficult for opponents. She can pick up full court, turn her player, and really get up in them the moment they pick up the ball. She's great in helpside, anticipates well, and is always in the right spot at the right time. Love the way she communicates on the floor and truly plays the game with a passion. She's a multi-level scoring threat that brings it every time she steps onto the floor. She gives it 1000 % no matter what's at stake. From the travel ball platform to school ball, she just competes and wants to win every single possession. Love the energy she gives. She is a solid kid who can score from multiple spots on the floor. Catch and shoot. Off the dribble. On the defensive end. Possibilities are endless when this kid is on the floor. I love her ability to read and see the floor. She can drop dimes with the best of them. She is a selfless ballplayer who makes an impact on the floor.
