16U Prospects to Watch at the Champions Challenge

I won't attend the Champions Challenge this weekend to attend a baby shower in the Milwaukee area, but there will be players to see in Appleton. Today, we will look at a handful of players from Wisconsin for college coaches attending the event at the Champion Center. Let's get right into it and look at some of the high school prospects who some coaches may see value in.    The Wisconsin Dells native played a key role for the Chiefs, who made a run to the state championship and brought home a silver ball. Gall is a quick guard who can create with the ball in her hands and is willing to make the right play every time she touches the ball. She has the quickness to beat her defender off the dribble and create numerical advantages offensively. She is a player with plenty of room to grow.     I like McQueeney as a lead guard because she can help elevate the other four players on the floor. She is a kid who can move the ball and get her teammates the ball when they're open, and keeps her head up with the ball in her hands. McQueeney has shown she can run an offense and help generate open looks for her team on the offensive end of the floor. She is also a competitive defender and can make opposing lead guards uncomfortable.     I have talked about the defensive tools Schwem has as a guard, and I'm eager for regional coaches to see her play in Appleton this weekend. She is a player who isn't from a traditional talent bed in Viroqua, but will likely be the most athletic kid on the floor in every game her team plays this weekend, by a wide margin. I would not be surprised if she impressed a handful of coaches who see her play this weekend because of how impactful she can be on both ends of the floor.     The way that Fischer can set a tone at the point of attack on both ends of the floor is unique. She doesn't need to score to be a game-changer. She is a disruptive defender who can force live-ball turnovers at the point of attack and wreck an opposing team's offense. I also like how creative she is offensively. She is a pass-first player who can manipulate defenses by getting downhill and creating passing lanes to get her teammates the ball.
