The way that Fischer can set a tone at the point of attack on both ends of the floor is unique. She doesn’t need to score to be a game-changer. She is a disruptive defender who can force live-ball turnovers at the point of attack and wreck an opposing team’s offense. I also like how creative she is offensively. She is a pass-first player who can manipulate defenses by getting downhill and creating passing lanes to get her teammates the ball.

Every time I see Fischer, I like what she brings to the floor more than I did before. The Appleton native is an athletic guard with as much lateral quickness as anyone on the defensive end of the floor. She was excellent as an on-ball defender this past weekend in Texas at the first 3SSB session of the year at the 16u level. She also has all the leadership traits you’d want in a lead guard. She’s vocal, positive, and is a player who her teammates respond to when she speaks. There is room to grow as a scorer on the offensive end, but there are few guards who impact the game like Fischer.

Fischer puts terrific pressure on the ball- that’s all game, doesn’t matter what the score is. Her intensity stays the same. I love how she involves her teammates- makes the extra pass. Strong attack mode both from the top of the key and driving baseline.
