2026 Prep Ball Stars Midwest Challenge: Indiana Stars

The Prep Ball Stars Midwest Challenge once again delivered an outstanding showcase of talent, bringing together many of the top players from both Indiana and Illinois. The event continues to grow into one of the premier stages in the Midwest for elite girls basketball players to compete against high-level talent while proving why they are some of the most respected prospects in the region.   Although I was not able to attend the event in person, I had the opportunity to watch online, and the level of talent and competitiveness immediately stood out. From skilled guard play to dominant post performances, Indiana players made a major statement throughout the showcase. She played with maturity and confidence that reflects a high-level college player already preparing for the next stage of basketball.     Maya Layton brought energy and versatility every time she stepped on the floor. The Northern Kentucky commit showed why she is one of Indiana's top players with her ability to impact the game in multiple ways. Layton competed hard on both ends of the floor and consistently found ways to make plays when her team needed them most. Even while watching online, it was easy to see why LSU saw her as a major addition to their future program. She carries herself with confidence and competes at a very high level.     Kayla Stidham quietly put together one of the stronger performances from the Indiana group. The Bowling Green commit brought toughness, composure, and consistency throughout the showcase. She played with a calm approach but still found ways to impact the game offensively and defensively. She looked comfortable competing against elite players and never backed away from physical play.   One of the biggest takeaways from watching Jeffers online was her toughness. Laniah Willis showed why Butler made a strong pickup in her recruitment. Willis brought athleticism, skill, and competitiveness to the Midwest Challenge while proving she belongs among the top players in Indiana. Her quickness and ability to attack defenders made her difficult to contain, and she consistently applied pressure on opposing defenses. Watching online, her overall presence and impact were easy to notice because of the pace and intensity she played with.
