Kayla has been a Varsity letter-winner since her Freshman year, but this year she has taken another step and really embraced a leadership role for the Royals. Ever since I can remember, she has had a reputation of being a knockdown shooter. That extends to the free throw stripe. At this time, she is leading those with enough qualifying free throw attempts at 93% from the line. Kayla is over 850 career points and closing in on that 1000-point plateau, plus she’s averaging career highs in scoring (15.2 points per game) and rebounding (7.2 rebounds per game).

Kayla is another really nice perimeter shooter for the Royals of Hamilton Southeastern, plus she adds a nice mid-range game as well. She has the strength and ability to get inside and defend, rebound, etc., plus she can step outside offensively and bury shot after shot. She likes to find space on the wings and in the long corners, especially, and she will drive it North/South from the perimeter. She has started to become a more complete scorer over the past year, and that multilevel ability has helped her in terms of her recruitment.
