2028 Rankings: Floor Generals– Guards Controlling WA Hoops Part 2

Dillyn Prescott has shown the qualities of a floor general capable of keeping an offense connected. She sees passing windows early and consistently delivers the ball where teammates can immediately attack. One of her strengths is her ability to shift defensive coverage with cross-court passes that force rotations and create open opportunities.   Beyond her passing ability, Prescott has become a reliable perimeter threat. Defenders can't simply play for the pass because she has demonstrated the confidence and consistency to knock down shots from long range. Her combination of vision and shooting gives her the ability to impact games in multiple ways from the guard position.     Ava Engskov has developed into a well-rounded offensive weapon who can score regardless of where defenses try to force her. She comfortably operates from beyond the arc, in the mid-range, and around the basket, giving opponents few opportunities to take away her entire game.   What stands out most is her improved decision-making when attacking. Rather than settling for difficult looks, she does an excellent job recognizing defensive positioning and working herself into efficient scoring opportunities. Her offensive approach has become increasingly polished, allowing her to consistently generate quality shots throughout the flow of a game.     Kaitlyn Hewlett possesses a natural scoring instinct that allows her to find offense in a variety of situations. She has a strong understanding of spacing and timing, regularly putting herself in positions where she can attack before defenders are fully set.   Hewlett is equally comfortable scoring from deep, pulling up in the mid-range, or getting all the way to the basket. She stays active throughout possessions, constantly relocating and creating new angles for teammates to find her. Her ability to produce offense without disrupting ball movement makes her especially valuable within a team system.     Isabella Ives plays with an aggressive offensive mindset and excels at putting pressure on defenders. Her quick first step allows her to create separation off the dribble, and she attacks openings decisively whenever they appear.   Around the basket, Ives displays impressive body control and touch. She finishes comfortably with either hand and adjusts naturally when defenders attempt to contest or bump her off her line. Her ability to stay balanced through contact and complete difficult finishes makes her a challenging matchup for opposing guards trying to keep her out of the paint.
