I am introducing a new limited article series, covering active players who are mentioned in the AAA (Arkansas Activities Association) record books.

To start off this series, let's take a look at the players who continuously come through during the state playoffs, as they hold specific records in just the state tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090920' first='Easton' last='McCollough']'s name is littered across the state record books for both the state tournament and the regular season. This past playoff run, Farmington obviously won it all (once again), but the Lady Cardinals' superstar had herself quite the postseason.

No one has hit more threes in a playoff game in state history than McCollough, who nailed 12 in this past postseason run. She makes quite the argument as the top shooter in the state, in addition to being the top player in Arkansas. Her shooting is truly outstanding, and her quick release, good shot arc, and extreme confidence are evidence of that.

Shooting from beyond the arc is not the only way McCollough scores, as there is truly no limit to her scoring capabilities. No matter what shot she has inside the arc, she can knock it down. Her handle is too clean to strip, and she can get by any defender on her way to the bucket. She can also pull up in the lane for a floater over 5 defenders, or step back and hit a middy. She showed all that when she scored 54 points in a game during the 2026 postseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090920' first='Easton' last='McCollough'] made history night after night, and she showed in on the biggest stage for her squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='1091183' first='Erin' last='Akins'] is another great 3-point shooter who notched herself in the history books during her freshman season.

During a playoff game in 2025, Akins knocked down 6 3-pointers, which tied her for the tenth-most threes made in a game in a postseason matchup.

Making 6 threes in a game is not hard to believe when you watch this shooter play. She hits shots from everywhere along the perimeter, and she is automatic off the catch. Whether you provide a contest or not, Akins is knocking down some of the biggest shots of the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1091183' first='Erin' last='Akins']' role on Mountain View continues to increase every season. I can't wait to see what type of year she has in 2026/27.

[player_tooltip player_id='1253985' first='Addie' last='Ryan'] is a true 3-point markswoman, and she showed that off this past postseason when Greene County Tech was making another strong push for the 5A title.

In one game, Ryan saw 8 threes go into the basket, which tied her for the third-most triples made in a state tournament game. Again, not a surprise that she is now in the record books.

Ryan's 3-point shot is feared in the 5A East. She is lethal off the catch thanks to a pure shooting stroke, an incredibly quick release, and the ability to hit big shots against great closeouts.

[player_tooltip player_id='1253985' first='Addie' last='Ryan'] has been picking up college offers, and her stock continues to trend upward as she looks to have a great senior season. I would also expect her ranking to increase as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1093242' first='Morgan' last='Jones'] took a big step up in her overall play this past season, but true ability and legitimate stars turn it on in the playoffs. Jones did just that.

During one game this past postseason, Jones hit 7 3-pointers, which put her in a tie for the seventh-most made threes in a playoff game in state history.

Jones is another great outside shooter who can get it going at any time. Whether it's off the catch, off the bounce, or even off a screen, she is knocking down her perimeter looks. Of course, you have to keep up with her if she decides to attack the basket, as her 3-point shooting is just too good.

[player_tooltip player_id='1093242' first='Morgan' last='Jones'] is another player who is in line to have a ranking increase by the next update, especially since she could continue to break out as a star this coming year.

This article is full of great shooters who come alive in the playoffs. [player_tooltip player_id='1090370' first='Riley' last='Farris'] is another one of them.

Farris finished her first regular season with Heber Springs, averaging 17.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. She posted solid shooting numbers as well, hitting 42% of her shots from the field and 36% of her shots from beyond (can't forget about 76% from the charity stripe). Her great regular season shooting translated immediately to the postseason.

Farris entered the record books when she hit 6 triples in a playoff game this past year, now tied for the 10th most made in a single state tournament game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090370' first='Riley' last='Farris'] wasted no time with her college recruitment, committing to Harding the first chance she got. Now the Lady Panther star continues to add to her stellar resume, while also leaving a bit of history behind in just her first year on her new squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='1444533' first='Lea' last='Monk'] had a career year with Heber Springs this past season, being selected as an all-state honorable mention. Her defense set the tone this year.

Monk averaged 11.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 2.1 steals per game during the 2025/26 regular season while shooting 45% from the field. Her offensive game was impressive, as she was a solid interior finisher, but her defense set her apart.

Monk is now on the state leaderboards, as she recorded 8 steals in a state tournament game this past season, which is tied for the 10th most in a playoff game in Arkansas history. Factor in her ability to come up with big defensive stops in big games, as well as coming up with important rebounds, and [player_tooltip player_id='1444533' first='Lea' last='Monk'] is a complete player.

[player_tooltip player_id='1444533' first='Lea' last='Monk'] will be a name to know heading into the 2026/27 season without a doubt.
