Duel for the Dynasty 2026: 14U All-Tournament First Team

The top players in the 14U division this past weekend were defined by grace, grit, and power. Over half the list dominated the perimeter and the post, punishing opponents with their size. However, the quality of play was "feast or famine." While some stretches featured good basketball, others devolved into WWE-style wrestling matches for the ball—leaving the referees looking to the sidelines for relief while I sat wondering if I was watching/scouting a basketball game or a slug fest.  By the end, the officials and I could only shake our heads in disbelief, wondering what this game is becoming.    She was the definition of sheer dominance and power. It didn't matter who the opposition threw at her; she simply bulldozed through them, finishing with a bucket or a trip to the line. A relentless force on both ends of the glass, she even showcased the handles to take it coast-to-coast, finishing the break with a perfectly timed assist. With shades of Audi Crooks and Shaquille O'Neal, she is an absolute problem in the paint. If she continues to perfect her craft and grow a couple more inches in height, she won't just play at the next level—she'll dominate high school and college ball.       Nailah was a physical mismatch all weekend, dominating both the perimeter and the paint. She put opponents in a "pick your poison" scenario: she overpowered smaller guards with ease and utilized her superior foot speed to blow by traditional post players. With a scoring package that extends from the midrange to behind the arc, she is a true three-level threat. While it was a total team effort, Naihla's timely buckets and relentless hustle were the catalysts for her team's comeback victory. She is the real deal—with the right fit and continued development, she has what it takes to play at the collegiate level.       Carly was the best guard in the 14U division.  She can shoot, pass, handle the ball, and defend: skills that weren't always a given this weekend in the 14U division. While her on-ball defense was locked in, her elite off-ball movement is what truly separated her from the pack. In an age where most players stand on the perimeter waiting for the ball to find them, Carly was one of only three players all weekend who understood how to manipulate space. Her constant movement and knack for finding openings in the defense made her an absolute nightmare to guard.       Bella was a joy to watch because her energy was infectious—it radiated from the court and energized the entire gym. What stood out most was her absolute lack of intimidation; even when outsized and overpowered, she never backed down. She delivered in the clutch with hard-earned buckets and relentless rebounding on both ends of the floor.       Kinslee is steadfast and reliable. Whether you need a bucket, a stop, or a smart pass, she's the one who is more than capable of delivering as she did this weekend. She lived in the lane, coming up with huge buckets when her team needed them most. Combine that with her high-level rebounding and defense, and you have a player who simply knows how to win.
