Dropped last week, one of the deepest classes in Tennessee basketball has now been released. The reason this class is deep is that many girls who represent it have seen the court early in their high school careers. They have been putting in the work, starting or being high contributors to their respective programs. Helping achieve positive results, this class has been at the forefront of many successes for programs overall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over the next week or so, we will be diving into various aspects of this class. From stock risers to hot prospects who are burning up the radar scene of collegiate coaches, we will unveil all that throughout the week. In this article, we will focus on some hidden gems in this class.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Within the 2028 class, I have already mentioned the depth of this class. What you will also see within this class is how each prospect kind of sharpens the other. Sure, there are some who are at the top of their own tier; however, there are many who could go toe-to-toe and produce similar results. For example, maybe you take a game, and one prospect is better than the other. You may see those two exact prospects at another game, and one of them may be the better one. My point is this: this class has some young ladies who are going to battle, with the intention of being the best and doing whatever it takes to help their club win ballgames.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here are some prospects within the 2028 class who are hidden gems. Wherever they may be ranked is just the starting point. A kid who is selfless, knows how to run an offense efficiently, and distribute the ball in tight windows. She can score off the bounce and knock down the 3-ball, but her true game is making sure all of her teammates are involved in the action on the offensive side of the ball. A solid defender, she is going to be in a position to contain her opponent. One who plays with a chip on her shoulder, she is going to give you the business on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she can get to the cup, knock down the 3 ball, and dish the rock to the hot hand. On the defensive side, she makes her money. She's going to pick you up the full length of the floor, causing chaos. She's going to get steals, deflections, and be in trapping situations. This young lady plays with a motor that's going to make the opposition panic. Gritty ballplayer, she can score from multiple levels. Releasing a nice stroke from the field, her shots find the bottom of the net at a consistent clip. A hard worker who gives it her all every time she steps onto the floor. Plays with a lot of speed, unleashing tenacious defense and the ability to score the rock in a multitude of ways. On the offensive side of the ball, she is going to penetrate and get to her spots to finish or kick to an open teammate to knock down a shot. Defensively, she is going to cause chaos, getting deflections and at least two steals per game. Can play both inside and out on the offensive side of the ball; she can do a multitude of things within the framework of the offense. She can be used in the screen game, exploit the mid-range and low-block areas, and knock down the 3-ball if the opportunity presents itself. Defensively, she will make her opponent take tough shots, stay in position to grab rebounds, and communicate effectively with her teammates.
