This weekend, the entire country takes time to relax, party, celebrate, and most importantly, honor the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service for this country. In line with the theme of the weekend, I wanted to highlight seven ladies who attend schools with "Patriots" as their nickname/mascot.

.

Coming into the Spring, I had seen Mia a number of times on video, but now that she has played on the grassroots tour, I would expect her recruiting to pick up quite a bit. In Louisville a couple of weeks ago, she showed her tremendous length, fluid athleticism, and ability to play at all three levels. She has one of the nicest mid-range games, but she can stretch it to 3-point land, and she is solid finishing around the basket. I would expect to see her interest really start to take off over the next couple of months among the elite small colleges.

Allivia is someone very new to the Prep Girls Hoops Indiana rankings/watch list. She had a nice Winter this year, averaging 17.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 3.1 steals per game for her Patriot squad. She possesses nice length, an athletic frame, and she moves well in most directions, not to mention she plays with a high motor and is always around the basketball. She is capable of keeping defenses honest outside, but she does most of her work from 15-feet and in. I have not seen her on a grassroots team yet, so colleges will likely have to travel to Vincennes to catch her in the Fall.

Lorelei earned her first Varsity letter as a Freshman, but this year she stepped into more of a leadership position and doubled her scoring output. She averaged 18.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game as a Sophomore, plus she knocked down enough 3-pointers to keep defenses paying attention out there. She has a solid to athletically strong frame, some length, and she's a solid all-around athlete. She's good in the mid-range, plus she can get inside and finish in a variety of ways. She's just a really nice basketball player.

Since Aubrey entered the lineup as a rookie last year, she has been a 20-point-plus scorer for the Lady Patriots. She's actually just 50 points away from 1000 already, and had they have not drawn Northview in the first round of the Sectional, she might have gotten it in the postseason. Aubrey is a strong guard, she plays with a good understanding of the game, and she does a nice job of using her body, playing on-balance, and playing with physicality. She has touch outside, she's able to get downhill to the rim, and she has a solid mid-post pull-up jumper as well.

Union County fans weren't sure what to expect heading into the season in 2025-2026. They knew they had a nice incoming Freshman group, but how quickly could they adapt to the Varsity game. By the end of the season, they won a Sectional and had upset Northeastern along the way. Brooklyn was key in their success, and she acted as their lead guard, but she also contributed in a big way as a facilitator, a defender, and she scored it reasonably well. She averaged 9.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 2.2 steals per game. She is also a really nice athlete.

Grayce is a very intriguing prospect who I think will only get better and better as her career goes on. She has a ton of upside, and she is just starting to scratch the surface. She has great length, wiry strength, a fluid athleticism to her, plus some bounce. Offensively, she can act as a point forward, push the ball in transition, and even initiate the offense. She's really good in the mid-post, but she is improving as a 3-point shooter as well. Defensively, she can take on bigger guards, wings, and undersized forwards. She also might continue to grow another inch or two.

Karsyn is one of several talented perimeter prospects in the Class of 2029 in Indiana, but from a statewide perspective, there are still too many people outside of Northeast Indiana unfamiliar with her game. She is tremendously long, fluidly athletic, bouncy, and skilled. She is a talented scorer from all three levels, but she's best off the bounce, slicing/gliding through defenses. She can handle it and run offense, and she has a natural feel for the game. Defensively, she has the talent to be elite, plus she's an effective rebounder for her position.
