First up is Now Elite 14U, a well-coached team that operates like a well-oiled machine. Primarily a guard-heavy team, they want to get out early against their competition and wear them down with their speed, transition-style play, and excellent ball movement. When they play patiently, they like to focus on moving the ball to create the best shot selection possible.

Led by guards Taylor Nance, Karter Smith, and Cheyenne Battle, this trio is capable of scoring from anywhere on the floor. Nance is a pure shooter and a poised point guard who controls the tempo of each matchup. She knows when it's time to drive into the lane or knock down crucial shots from beyond the arc. Battle is a facilitator who enjoys sharing the ball and involving her teammates; however, when the opportunity presents itself, she can execute a beautiful dribble-pull-up midrange jumper that catches defenders off guard. Karter Smith is a versatile player who can seamlessly take on the 2 or 3 positions. She often drives inside to draw fouls, absorbing contact to finish strong with layups, while also knocking down a reliable midrange jumper.

Now Elite has a deep bench that provides quality minutes and contributes significantly to the team's performance. They are a crafty team with a versatile game plan, often leaving their opponents unsure of what to expect. The team finished the weekend undefeated, securing second place in Pool A. Now Elite is definitely an exciting team to watch this season.

[program_tooltip program_id='1237402' first='HER' last='Elite'] 14U is a promising young team led by highly skilled guards with strong basketball IQs. After an undefeated weekend, they finished at the top of their pool, demonstrating exactly why they hold the No. 1 ranking. Standout players such as [player_tooltip player_id='1823313' first='Abrielle' last='Allen'], [player_tooltip player_id='1823939' first='Zara' last='Mopa'], [player_tooltip player_id='1841721' first='Haiden' last='Hill'], and Daniella Macri, excel by feeding off one another and consistently playing strong games in each matchup.

In the frontcourt, the “twin towers” of [player_tooltip player_id='1823313' first='Abrielle' last='Allen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1823939' first='Zara' last='Mopa'] dominate, while skilled guards [player_tooltip player_id='1850263' first='Lexi' last='Robinson'], [player_tooltip player_id='1823385' first='Sophie' last='McGrath'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1248126' first='Grace' last='Quiles'] effectively manage the backcourt. [program_tooltip program_id='1237402' first='HER' last='Elite'] is a defensive-led team that capitalizes on its opponents' mistakes and converts those opportunities into points. They thrive in transition, quickly scoring on the fast break before turning to face-guard their competition right away.

What sets this team apart is their ability to outrebound opponents on both ends of the floor, thanks to their length and size. This young team also has guards who can shoot effectively from both the three-point line and the mid-range. [program_tooltip program_id='1237402' first='HER' last='Elite'] 14U is a team to watch as they continue to develop and grow.

[program_tooltip program_id='715404' first='North' last='Metro Elite'] 14U is a team that demonstrated pure dominance offensively. Despite losing their top scorer, Mia McClarity, to a lower leg injury early in the tournament, the team showed resilience and found other ways to be effective on both sides of the ball without their floor general.

Led by standout players Arielle Howell, Natalie Allen, and Sydney Daniel, this trio excels on both ends of the floor for NME. Each athlete makes significant contributions to scoring from various positions on the court. Natalie Allen establishes her dominance well in the paint, making it challenging for the offense to knock down easy shots. She also demonstrates versatility in her game, able to step out to the perimeter and create scoring opportunities for herself. Allen is a hustler who isn't afraid to dive for loose balls and generate turnovers. Arielle Howell is a true facilitator; she remains poised when handling the rock but can also put the jets on & past defenders to create scoring chances for herself in the lane. Meanwhile, Sydney Daniel, a tall small forward, can effectively play positions 2 through 4 when the opportunity arises. With her athletic build and high energy, she helps to balance the floor.

Although they have a small bench, when players are called upon, they provide valuable minutes. [program_tooltip program_id='715404' first='North' last='Metro Elite'] is an aggressive team on both ends of the court and enjoys upping the tempo in transition. They are a well-organized team that continues to turn heads in the 2030 class.

Fly Girls 14U is a team that stands out because of their impressive length, featuring players like Allie Johns, Taylor Haggard, and Jamie McElveen. Hailing from Columbus, Mississippi, the Fly Girls showcased their skills this weekend, going 3-1 and finishing first in Pool B.

This disciplined team has smaller guards in the backcourt but a tall front court. Johns is known for her shot-blocking ability, while Haggard is an athletic forward who excels at creating scoring opportunities around the rim. The smaller guards provide a speed advantage, allowing them to push the ball quickly and out-hustle their opponents.

At times, Fly Girls 14U appears comfortable when they are in control, often looking to get an early jump on their competition. If their perimeter shooting isn't falling, the guards are focused on feeding the ball to their forwards to set up big plays. As a young team still developing its identity in the 2030 class, Fly Girls 14U has plenty of potential for improvement.
