Players Who May Draw Significant Interest This AAU Season

Each year, players earn significant attention from programs at the next level. Today, we will look at some younger players who could use this grassroots season to put their names on recruiting boards for programs at the next level. The players we will look at today have all the tools to earn attention from college coaches and make a name for themselves.    The athletic tools Apuan has as a wing will jump out to anyone who sees her playing for [program_tooltip program_id='1230720' first='Team' last='Herro'] this spring and summer. She played a role at La Crosse Central alongside a scholarship-level talent. However, Apuan has looked like a different player in her first season with her new program. She is a player who could catch some coaches by surprise if they make their way to see her playing 15u EYCL basketball. There is a lot to like about what she brings, and she should have some room to grow.     Few players have come through the state as frontcourt prospects with the tools Petzold has. She is a rangey player who can defend around the basket and has shown she can finish with both hands when given the opportunity. She is also comfortable spacing the floor and knocking down shots as a floor spacer. What we see from her now may also be the tip of the iceberg, as she grows into her frame over the next few years, she could take another step forward.     The wing from Sussex is a player who can do a little of everything on both ends of the floor. Baldwin was a player who had multiple sets run for her, and people around the Greater Metro Conference were eager to tell me how much they liked her game throughout the high school season. She is a multi-sport player who excels in volleyball, but she has a future in basketball if she chooses to play at the next level.     I was impressed with Marciulionis when I first saw her play with her [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] group this spring. She is a sizeable forward who can play with her back to the basket, space the floor, and knock down perimeter jumpers. She has shown flashes of what she can be at her best, and as a post player, she will likely come along later than most players in her class. However, I do like the intangibles she brings to the frontcourt and how hard she works around the basket.
