I was impressed with Marciulionis when I first saw her play with her Purple Aces group this spring. She is a sizeable forward who can play with her back to the basket, space the floor, and knock down perimeter jumpers. She has shown flashes of what she can be at her best, and as a post player, she will likely come along later than most players in her class. However, I do like the intangibles she brings to the frontcourt and how hard she works around the basket.

The D.C. Everest product is among the more talented players in her class, and she has looked good with her new club program. Marciulionis has been a solid interior presence and spaced the floor and knocked down perimeter jumpers. Post players tend to develop more slowly, but she has plenty of tools right now.

Sometimes, I need to make things simple for myself. Marciulionis is a 6’3 forward who can space the floor, score in the post, and isn’t afraid to put the ball on the floor from time to time. I thought she had an excellent showing this past weekend with Purple Aces , and I am eager to see how she fares playing up an age level in Texas this weekend. Her physical tools, along with her ability to make plays with the ball offensively, are things I didn’t expect to see from her, and the skill she has will allow her to thrive with the group she’s playing with.
