JSE Showcase: Stockrisers on Fire

The JSE Coaches event in West Monroe featured plenty of established, high-profile prospects executing at a high level. However, the depth of talent extended far beyond the state's familiar names. Several stock-risers utilized the platform to elevate their profiles and demand attention from coaches in attendance. Here is a look at the standout performers who made the ultimate leap from under-the-radar to must-watch prospects.    Gay is not an ordinary guard. She is electric. She is all out intensity from start to finish in every game. She is the type of player that the best players want to compete with. She can get downhill at anytime, and uses her skills to create for others. Defensively, she is a menace and controls the game on both sides of the ball. Keep an eye out for Gay as she will be the leader for the scrappy Neville Tigers.     Wilson shows up as one of the most talked about hybrid players in North Louisiana. She has point guard skills, but also has the size to work in the post against players bigger than her. She is a strong and athletic player with a high basketball IQ and developing skill set. In every game she figures out how to contribute and her intangibles make her an easy next level target.     At the JSE Showcase, Suacer showed that she can be the lead player on a high level team. She competed on every possession, doing whatever it takes to win. She is tough when the ball is in her hands, and gets downhill easily. She is crafty around the rim and uses several moves to finish on ither side of the goal. She is a defensive specialist, and her game is 100% effort and energy. She is a next level immediate impact player.     Powell put up the most impressive scoring game of the weekend locking in 31 points vs one of the top teams in Mississippi. She took the game personal and matched up with a big guard and just went to work. Every possession, she was locked in and intimidating defensively and causing havoc in the open court. Powell's 31 is just a peak into what she can do on the court. 31 points with La Tech sitting courtside is as clutch as it comes. Remember the name, "KOTA", because she is a game changer.     Carruth came in from out of state and put on a show in front of college coaches. Her game is full spectrum, and high intensity. She shot the three ball, knocked down mid range shot, and she got in the lane and finished through contact. She is a big guard with a complete offensive package Kinda scary to think she has one more year to develop for the next level.
