Numerous talented players from around the state can play high-level basketball at the next level and contribute to winning. Over the next 7-8 weeks, college coaches will see countless players from all over the country and decide which prospects to offer opportunities to play for their program. Few will be lucky enough to earn scholarship offers. Today, we will look at players and make the case why they are good enough for college coaches to make the time to see at an event.

In terms of the 16U 3SSB teams I've seen from the first stop in Bryan and elsewhere, Michalkiewicz has been among the most explosive scorers in that league. The lefty has been an excellent perimeter shooter and seemed to find her stride with her [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] group this spring. She's also a multi-sport athlete who's excelled at every athletic endeavor she's pursued, and it's hard to believe she won't get the most out of herself as a basketball player.

The McFarland native is an excellent athlete who can use her athletic tools to flip a game on its head. Charbonneau is a lefty who can handle the ball and put pressure on the basket by getting downhill and forcing defenses to react to what she's doing. It also helps that she's a solid passer who has played quarterback in middle school and made reads on the field. It also showed how well she handled playing against physical players who were three or four years older than her in her first season of high school basketball. She's among the more unique players to come from Wisconsin in recent memory.

The Columbus Catholic stepped onto a high school floor and became the focal point of what the Dons did on the offensive end of the floor. Although she was playing small-school basketball, Gardner had a confidence in her game that few newcomers have at her age. She can get to her spots and is comfortable scoring from all three levels. As any young guard, things haven't always been perfect, but she has always bounced back and competed, which shows a lot of resolve.

What I've liked about watching Williams develop over the last three years is how she always finds a way to improve, and sometimes it's so subtle people don't even realize it. For instance, she wasn't always a great perimeter shooter, but when I brought up that she was north of 40% from beyond the arc this past high school season, it took them by surprise. She has always been a good athlete who got downhill, but she's developed her all-around game over the past few years and can continue to develop as she graduates and gets to the next level.
