The Neenah native was part of a talented backcourt, and the two seniors she shared the floor with are now playing at the scholarship level. Whenever you see a kid who can put the ball in the basket in bunches and find a groove, they make it seem like the basket is the size of Antarctica. The Neenah native was among the most impressive 16U players I saw at 3SSB down in Bryan, Texas. The lefty shot the leather off the ball, and every time she took a shot from beyond the arc, it felt like it was going in. Michalkiewicz can take a significant step forward this winter for the Rockets.

The Neenah native has been among the most impressive players in 16u 3SSB this spring. She shot the leather off the ball in her first Adidas stop in Bryan, Texas, this last April and was the main source of offense for her team. The lefty is a solid athlete who can slide her feet defensively, and competes at a high level on both ends of the floor. She has been one of the more impressive players I’ve seen playing her age level at 16u this season, and she’s continuing to impress as we approach the end of the year.

Michalkiewicz’s recruiting train is picking up steam due to the summer that she is having for her Purple Aces team. Shooting consistently in the 40-50% range, from deep, and showing a nice collection of drives and mid-range, Michalkiewicz looks ready to improve on a very impressive sophomore season where she earned Honorable Mention All-Conference in the FVA.

There may not be a player in Wisconsin who has done more for themselves this grassroots season than Sydney Michalkiewicz Sydney Michalkiewicz 5'7" | CG Neenah | 2028 State WI . The Neenah native has thrived in her first season in 3SSB and scored at a high level while being among the most efficent in the 16U league. She has also played behind successful players at Neenah in her few seasons so far. However, now she can be a player who could take another step and become one of the more lethal offensive players in the Fox Valley if things fall her way, and we could see what that could look like today and tomorrow.

In terms of the 16U 3SSB teams I’ve seen from the first stop in Bryan and elsewhere, Michalkiewicz has been among the most explosive scorers in that league. The lefty has been an excellent perimeter shooter and seemed to find her stride with her Purple Aces group this spring. She’s also a multi-sport athlete who’s excelled at every athletic endeavor she’s pursued, and it’s hard to believe she won’t get the most out of herself as a basketball player.

The Purple Aces guard was excellent down in Texas for the first 3SSB viewing period and was her team’s main source of offense. The lefty shot the ball at a high clip and looked confident, turning the corner and getting to the basket. She is a breakout candidate in her class over the next year if she keeps playing the way she has been. She is also a talented multi-sport athlete who made a deep run in the tennis season earlier this school year.

Watching Michalkiewicz in a new setting, with a different role, opened my eyes a bit to what she can do on the floor. The Neenah native had stretches where she was her team’s entire offensive engine, and helped her 16U group overcome a 17ish point deficit to win their first 3SSB game of the grassroots season. She shot the ball at a high level and made shots in bunches when she found her groove.

Another lefty to make my list with the stereotypical “picture-perfect” shot release. One of the more complete players that I watched, Sydney was very consistent, from distance, knocking down multiple threes in each game. Neenah looks to, once again, be one of the FVA’s top teams and Sydney will make them even more dangerous!
