Players to see at the WIAA/WBCA Summer Slam Event

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Scholastic live period is tipping off in about an hour, and again, we have more teams than 2025 participating in the event, which is excellent. We will have teams from all over the state competing in Appleton in front of college coaches. We also get a small taste of what the 2026/27 season could look like, even in June. Gardner made an impact in her first season at Columbus Catholic and was among the most effective scoring guards in small-school basketball. She's athletic enough to defend on the perimeter and physical enough to switch onto post players, and she holds her own at the high school level. However, she has a chance to make the lead guard spot her own this coming year as a sophomore. She has looked good with her [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] group, and Notre Dame has traditionally had high-level lead guards, and Cumicek is capable of continuing that trend. The Neenah native has thrived in her first season in 3SSB and scored at a high level while being among the most efficent in the 16U league. She has also played behind successful players at Neenah in her few seasons so far.
