What do you do when you are standout Macie Reiner's backup? Well, apparently, you watch and learn. Blomenkamp is a standout athlete that we got to see play good minutes with the Badgers at the UNK Team Camp and she's an excellent athlete who is very long at the top of their press (much like Reiner) and can cause an opposing team a chest full of issues. Blomenkamp picked up a Wayne State offer early in June and should be poised for more. She's has had an excellent summer on the ETG 15U team as well.

It's rare you see a freshman play with no fear and a high, high motor. But that's what we saw with Duzik during her first year of high school basketball at Malcolm. And, it's continued as she has played this summer on her Nebraska Supreme team. She is a heady defender that causes problems for ball handlers, making it tough for opposing teams to get into their offense. Has been a lead guard for the Supreme team and may get called on that more next season for Malcolm to create more opportunities for Payton Dolliver, her cousin. She averaged 5.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game as a freshman.

Hoffman earned valuable experience for Millard West last winter, playing in 21 games for the Class A power. She's also had an big start to her summer with the Nebraska Attack 15U UAA team as well. A forward who can play inside and outside, Hoffman has continued to show steady improvement for the Cats and her Attack team. She can attack the rim and is a willing passer as well. Her ability to use and get to her left hand has showed up on film, too. Hoffman played well for the 'Cats in Columbia, MO as they went 3-1 at the Midwest Showcase in June as well.

Another Bennington youngster who is biding her time, Schmidt could be the next great guard for the Badgers. The lefty has the ability to attack the rim, pull up to mid-range and shoot from long distance. Another player who thrives in the full court game, she was another ball hawk for the Badger defense when we saw them at the UNK Team Camp. Schmidt is also making her mark for the ETG 15U team that also features teammate Paige Gargano as well as Blomenkamp. Schmidt played in 21 games for the state champion Badgers last season.
