Last Tuesday, we hit the Nebraska Girls Basketball Showcase top-10 camp where we saw the championship game of the Class A, B and C-1 divisions as well as watching the first day of pool play for the Class C-2, D-1 and D-2 divisions. In the "big school" division, Kearney topped Class C-1 O'Neill 43-30 in the finals.

During small school pool play we watch 2026 Class D-1 runner-up Bloomfield top Class C-2 champion Pender as well as 2026 Class C-2 qualifier Centura defeat D-1 champion Howells-Dodge. On Wednesday those same four teams met in the semifinals of the tournament where Bloomfield again topped Pender and Centura defeated Howells-Dodge a second time. Bloomfield went on to beat Centura in the finals.

Here are four players that caught our eye from Centura and Pender, with the Class D-1 schools coming later this week.

One of the top freshman in the small classes last year, Dolliver will have a big change of role for the next season. She has a lot of her big sisters game in her own offensive game in that she can get to the rim and create for teammates. Mayci shot just 25% from 3-point range as a freshman, but has the ability to turn into an excellent shooter from distance. What sets her apart now, is her defensive ability and what college coaches might love early in her high school career. It will be interesting to see Dolliver develop and leave her own mark on the Pender program over the next three years. Dolliver has been a floor general-type for the ETG 15U team this summer.

With standout [player_tooltip player_id='884644' first='Myra' last='Hansen'] profiled last week for Pender and her work with [program_tooltip program_id='715717' first='Nebraska' last='Supreme'] we move to the 5-10 Mosser, who should be on many small college radars. The first player off the bench for the Pendragons last winter, Mosser will move to a starting role with the graduation of Hadley Walsh her inside presence will be much needed for coach Jason Dolliver. Mosser knows when to take shots and make shots as she connected on 52% from the floor last year while averaging 3.9 points and 3.6 rebounds a season ago.

It's possible that Davis might be the sleeper of the 2027 class in Nebraska. An elite shot blocker, Kennedy is all of 6-foot and a major presence for the Centurions the past three seasons. Her offensive game continues to grow and she has the ability now to step out and shoot the 3-point shot. In Centura's 24-4 season last year, Davis scored 14.4 points, grabbed 4.9 rebounds and dished out 2.1 assists. Most impressively she averaged 3.5 blocks per contest. Davis is getting recruiting attention from most of the Nebraska GPAC schools, but we think should could attract even more coaches at the bigger level as the summer moves on.

There are few motors in the state like [player_tooltip player_id='1312167' first='Taya' last='Taukiuvea']. The 5-9 forward is a complete menace in Centura's up-tempo pressing system and she continued to prove that in the Top-10 tournament just like she did for their state qualifier last winter. She led the Centurions in just about everything (floor burns included) with 18.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.9 steals (!!) and had 2.9 assists per contest. An all-around athlete, Taukiuvea plays select softball in the summer, but volleyball in the fall at Centura. She was also on a state qualifying 400 meter relay team during the spring track season.
