Class of 2028: New Additions

The Class of 2028 rankings have been updated, and we'll have the Class of 2029 update tomorrow. We have looked at the players in the top ten and what they bring to the floor, along with some things they've done to this point. Tonight, we will look at some players who have helped themselves the most over the last few months, and some new names in the 2028 rankings.    The Milwaukee native is a player I've liked more each time I've seen her play, without fail. Smith is a talented kid who can create with the ball in her hands and get to her spots most of the time. The more experience Smith gets by playing high-level basketball, the better she gets, and that makes her one of the more intriguing players in this class. She has one of the higher ceilings in this class, and every day she gets on the floor, the closer she gets to that ceiling.     The Appleton native is a player who passes the eye test the second she steps on the floor. Tomori has a solid frame, moves well for her size, and plays hard whenever she's on the floor. She's a kid with the tools to overwhelm opposing frontcourts physically, and is learning how to do just that. She has all the physical tools to make things happen, and her skillset has improved over the last six months.     The St. Mary Catholic guard impressed me late in this past high school season. With numerous players out due to injury, including the Zephyrs' leading scorer, Guerrero answered the bell, made winning plays throughout, and helped send the game into overtime against a successful Division 4 program. There's more to her game than what meets the eye, and I'm eager to see what she can do with more responsibility over the next few seasons.     The New Berlin native is a talented guard who can play either backcourt spot and make winning plays. Hermann is a hard-nosed player who can help her team win on the margins with her effort. She is also skilled enough to create with the ball in her hands, get downhill, and put pressure on opposing defenses. Hermann also excels away from the ball by spacing the floor as a perimeter shooter and as a cutter who takes advantage of lapses in her defenders' concentration. She can elevate any lineup she's in at the high school and grassroots level.
