<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was a busy weekend of games at Multi-Sports Kingdom and Superdome Brick and these 2027 players put on a great show.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Inez Brewster - [program_tooltip program_id='714650' first='NJ' last='Freedom']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Inez brought the defensive energy on Saturday. Her quickness allowed her to stay in front of the ball with pressure and her length and anticipation got her several steals and deflections. She is lightning quick getting up and down the court and tough to chase down in transition. She attacks the rim hard. She is lefty dominant, but still finds a way to get the shot she wants. As a junior at Bloomfield HS, Inez led the team in scoring, rebounds, steals and blocks and was 3rd in assists.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kaitlyn Nellegar - [program_tooltip program_id='714650' first='NJ' last='Freedom']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kaitlyn was dominant in the paint on Saturday. She killed opponents on the boards at both ends and the offensive boards were converted to put back baskets. Her work on the glass created plenty of extra possessions for her team. She finishes with both hands around the rim and likes to use and up and under finish against defenders. Defensively, she did an excellent job being physical in the paint against bigger opponents and refused to allow easy post-up opportunities. Kaitlyn has a chance to eclipse 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds in her senior year at Nutley HS after leading the team in points, rebounds, blocks and steals as a junior.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='835908' first='Brianna' last='Rainey'] - Lady Runnin Rebels</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brianna showed sniper skills on Saturday in Manalapan. She has deep range on her 3-pointers. She catches shot ready and does not hesitate to let it go when she has space. She moves well off the ball and has her feet square to the rim when she catches after relocating along the arc. Brianna appeared in 15 games for Camden Catholic and is using this summer to cement her place in the rotation next season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mia Krause - Lady Runnin Rebels</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mia's defensive prowess was noticeable on Saturday in Manalapan. She was aggressive on the ball without fouling. She was active with her hands getting multiple deflections and steals even when on the inbounder. Mia was very disciplined holding her ground and not doubling off the ball side corner against post entry or dribble drive. Offensively, she worked her way open on hard cuts to the rim and showed a nice 3-point stroke. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mariann Akinyemi - PV Thunder</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mariann is a PG with high level quickness. She is a downhill slasher who finds her way to the rim and finishes through contact. She was equally adept getting to the rim by dribbling around man defense or slicing through zone defenses. When she gets in the paint and picks up her dribble, she displayed good footwork and several different finishes around the rim. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
